Guide to Logging into a Mitel 5320-5340 IP Phone

Step 1: Access the Login Screen

  • On the phone's main screen, look for a 'Login' or ‘Hotdesk’ option. You may have to push the button twice.

Step 2: Enter Your Extension

  • Use the keypad to enter your 4-digit extension. This is the unique number assigned to you in North Island College's phone system.

Step 3: Enter the PIN (if required)

  • You'll be prompted to enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN). However, since we're using a blank PIN, you can press the 'Enter' or 'OK' button without entering any digits.

Step 4: Confirm Your Login

  • After entering your extension (and skipping or confirming the blank PIN), look for an option to confirm or complete the login process. This might be labeled 'OK', 'Enter', 'Login', or a similar term.

Step 5: Check for Confirmation

  • Upon successful login, the phone should display your extension number at the bottom of the screen. You will also see your programmed keys if any have been setup.

Step 6: Start Using the Phone

  • Once logged in, you can start using the phone to make and receive calls, and utilize other features available on your Mitel 5320-40 IP Phone.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If you encounter any issues during login, ensure that you are entering the correct 4-digit extension.
  • If the phone doesn't seem to respond or has issues, try restarting it and attempting the login process again.
